2016-02-09misc: mic: Remove MIC X100 card virtio functionalitySudeep Dutt
This patch deletes the virtio functionality from the MIC X100 card driver. A subsequent patch will re-enable this functionality by consolidating the hardware independent logic in a new Virtio over PCIe (VOP) driver. 2016-02-07mic_virtio: fix a timeout loopDan Carpenter
After the loop we test "if (!retry)" to see if we timedout. The problem is "retry--" is a post-op so retry will be -1 at the end of the loop. I have fixed this by changing it to a pre-op instead. 2016-01-12virtio: make find_vqs() checkpatch.pl-friendlyStefan Hajnoczi
checkpatch.pl wants arrays of strings declared as follows: static const char * const names[] = { "vq-1", "vq-2", "vq-3" }; Currently the find_vqs() function takes a const char *names[] argument so passing checkpatch.pl's const char * const names[] results in a compiler error due to losing the second const. This patch adjusts the find_vqs() prototype and updates all virtio transports. This makes it possible for virtio_balloon.c, virtio_input.c, virtgpu_kms.c, and virtio_rpmsg_bus.c to use the checkpatch.pl-friendly type. Change u32 to u64, and use BIT_ULL and 1ULL everywhere. Note: transports are unchanged, and only set low 32 bit. It seemed like a good idea to use bitmap for features in struct virtio_device, but it's actually a pain, and seems to become even more painful when we get more than 32 feature bits. Replace duplicated code in all transports with a single wrapper in virtio.c. The only functional change is in virtio_mmio.c: if a buggy device sends us an interrupt before driver is set, we previously returned IRQ_NONE, now we return IRQ_HANDLED. As this must not happen in practice, this does not look like a big deal. 2013-11-27misc: mic: Suppress memory space sparse warningsAshutosh Dixit
MIC card and host drivers are able to use virtio over the PCIe bus by treating ioremap return values for the prefetchable BARs as pointers, effectively treating I/O memory the same as system memory. However this results in sparse warnings. Knowing that these warnings do not point to a functional issue, this patch suppresses these warnings. 2013-09-26Intel MIC Card Driver Changes for Virtio Devices.Ashutosh Dixit
This patch introduces the card "Virtio over PCIe" interface for Intel MIC. It allows virtio drivers on the card to communicate with their user space backends on the host via a device page. Ring 3 apps on the host can add, remove and configure virtio devices.
